In the second week of May, there have been 4 very important events in the Israel-Gaza war:
1) Israel's armed forces killed top Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar (son of Yahya Sinwar, who was eliminated by Israel in 2024) in a tunnel in Gaza.
2) A document captured by Israel that was found in the Gaza tunnels confirms that Hamas launched the October 7, 2023 attack to sabotage the start of diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia (Abraham Accords, pushed by Trump). The document has been confirmed as authentic by several Arab and Western intelligence services.
3) Netanyahu has announced that his government now intends to occupy the entire Gaza Strip and transfer the entire population to other countries. This population transfer is categorized as ethnic cleansing and is a crime against humanity if done on a permanent basis. It is also possible that this transfer will be done in order to destroy all remaining infrastructure in Gaza and rebuild from scratch under Trump's plan to turn it into "the riviera of the Middle East", and allow the gradual return of the population.
4) Under US pressure, Israel has resumed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, suspended since March
